Stroll
Yesterday (120630), in the evening, I was walking about the very heart of the city of Porto/Oporto.
Obviously, I had in my hands a meal of the McDonald’s!! And how I am a vivacious fellow when I saw a Madame being dragged by a dog, in leash, I thought hard and quick!
I told her there was a solution and the dog would be trained in good behaviour!
With the utmost care she must tie two legs of the dog, one leg to another leg, and estimate the length of the tie in the manner that the dog could walk but couldn’t run.
In the farms it’s normal to do this at the animals when they run away too much! Many times I watched the farmers to tie the horns of a cow to one foremost hoof, between the hoof and the upper fingers of the cow, with a leather strap and keeping the muzzle near the ground (not very near the ground) and the cow could graze but couldn’t run away! The height of the head of the cow, to the hoof, must, I repeat, must always remember to the cow it is tied and never can start a run!! If the cow gets a high head it tries start a run and can tumble itself.
A second solution it is:
When we put a headstall at the dog on, we must fasten the leash at the muzzle and never at the neck of the dog! Never. If necessary, we must go to a cobbler, a shoemaker and rearrange the headstall, the muzzle of the dog. We must pull the dog by the extremity of the muzzle and never by the neck! Never. The farmers do the same with the oxen and cows. They never pull the animals by the necks! Because the animals are stronger than man.
