and the guilty one!!

I was told Mediterranean always was a big highway where many peoples grew rich with trade, with commerce.

Afterwards, with Portuguese, Spanish, English and Dutch peoples wealth changed with another highway! The Atlantic ocean! And the Mediterranean richness was over!!

So,

on my holidays, I saw at Benidorm Beach (Mediterranean Spain) a big gap on mountaintop, a square and big gap. And my holidays were spent with a whirl in my mind!! And this wasn’t the end. In the middle of bay I watched an islet with a bent ground but: the inclination was a shelter against bad weather!! There is a legend saying the islet came of mountaintop gap! The whirl in my mind came of my knowledge of the trade of Phoenicians, Greeks, Carthaginians and other peoples!! In my whirl I believed and I believe the square and big gap in mountain was, in days gone by, a lighthouse with a fire by night and its square frame at day!! I think it was the highest lighthouse ever set to allure, draw and shelter trade, storage and following distribution by smaller ships in the coast!! An ancient factory!

But with all this blabbing what do I mean?

I mean Africa hasn’t any highway! Africa is very continental! Sahara is poor and southern Africa has many and great diseases! Terrible diseases! The malaria disease is an awful one! I couldn’t swim rivers to prevent swallow its water and catch ‘bilharziasis’ disease. I couldn’t walk barefooted because I would catch ‘filaria’ disease. And so on, and so forth!!

I say:

No wonder Africa was/is poor with so many misfortunes!!

And no highways for commerce!!
