Driving

I don’t like driving very much…

So, today, I got off the van at the back of Saint Antonio’s Hospital and started my walk in and out our building’s office carrying books, boxes, portfolios and so on and so forth. It was a sunny, hot and pleasant day of May. Children smiled, birds chirped, full bus pass by and I particularly watched a gentleman, in his seventies, well dressed, with sunglasses, sitting on a step nearby, waiting for someone and watching my walking in and out.

By and by, the gentleman said to me: «sir, why don’t you set the van near the door? You have left the van a little far away!»

I am always in a good temper and I immediately thought hard and quickly. I watched suspiciously at my left and right of the walkway, neared him, stooped and whispered this: «You won’t say anything to anyone?» He answered: «Yes, I will not». Bending and glancing suspiciously I whispered this:

«It’s difficult to me, I have never learned how to drive…»

The gentleman opened his mouth and he was out of his wits!!

I went on my work and the gentleman his thinking.

On the end, when I neared my van the gentleman said to me: «Sir, I don’t believe you!» I put a broad smile, eyed him and answered: «Sure, you are right sir!»

It was a really beautiful day!
