The bus of the students (second)
Two things I recall, with fancy, of the bus of the students. The first: the old bus, the very old bus, that had the engine by the side of the driver! A swelling at the cabin of the driver and one place for one passenger exactly near the front window, the front seat. In the middle of the driver and the front seat was the swelling of the engine. Who can imagine the heat of Africa, at noon, added with the hotness of this engine, roaring at our side? But I liked the front seat very much!!
The second: the new bus, the wonderful bus, the first that had music, and my fancy, today, get wings to the radio station that the driver got! This bus only worked at six of the morning when we went to school and we caught the bus. And which was the radio station? It was the English Radio Station transmitted by Radio Club of Mozambique and destined to the South African and Rhodesian residents. We did the trip with the most wonderful English music; I was ten or eleven years old.
