Lion (fourth story)
The joy of the chief was great. Called to the big village he brought a letter of his sweetheart (my mother) saying she was well and loved him. He was coming back home. The day was hot, moist and dirty because he was driving a car upon a land road. These travels were a chance of watching unexpected animals. He completed a turn and saw a cub of lion standing on the road. He thought hard and quick! He didn’t see the lioness for a while and then got off and put off the blazer, ran to the cub and threw the blazer at it. The cub pawed, huffed and puffed, but was brought to the car and at home where a she-dog licked him and gave him what he most needed: a delicious milk for a ravenous lion cub. And so on, and so forth!! The days went on, the cub was over the size of a cub: he was a lion! A big lion! He was brought on the middle of gazelles, dogs, cats and fowls. One sad day it caught a gazelle and the guard of the animals gathered a pole and struck the lion on the head opening a vein. It was impossible to save the lion! What a sad day it was!!
